Congratulations to the 7 GHS students who will be travelling to Appleton this weekend to participate in the Wisconsin Choral Directors Association All-State Choir. These students will have the opportunity to sing with 251 other students from 53 school districts around the state. The concerts will be held in the Lawrence University Memorial Chapel on Saturday evening. The 7 students representing Grantsburg are Blandina Ayohua-Hernandez, Alex McCormick, Robert Mott, Pressly Olson, Kaitlyn Robin, Dylan Seeger, and Kaiden Xurvein. Congratulations, and good luck this weekend!

Seven of our GHS art students have created portraits to send to disadvantaged children in India!
As part of the Memory Project, the effort aims to help kids feel acknowledged and encouraged, while also providing them with special childhood memories.
The Memory Project is a nonprofit organization that invites art students to create portraits for youth who have faced substantial challenges. It helps art teachers and their students create special gifts for children in tough situations worldwide.
This project has become a favorite at GHS each year!

As part of a Toddler Development unit, students in Ms. Taylor's Child Development class at GHS learned about the social and emotional development of children ages 2-5. To address the challenges children face when encountering new experiences, social situations, or learning tasks, or when recovering from trauma, students were tasked with creating unique hand-sewn "Fear-Me-Not Monsters." These cuddly companions, designed to offer comfort and security, will be donated to children in the Grantsburg area. Each comes with a personalized profile, including its name, a brief description, special abilities, and a list of its favorite things. This creative outreach project aims to help young children in Grantsburg feel more confident in facing their fears!
