iForward: Wisconsin's Online Charter School
The Grantsburg School District is a pioneer in online education in Wisconsin, offering an online charter school to Wisconsin residents since 2002. The School District is honored to be able to extend the quality of our bricks-and-mortar school community to our online students across Wisconsin through open enrollment.

iForward: Wisconsin’s Online Charter School continues to serve students in grades K-12. It operates as a tuition-free, non-profit, diploma-granting online charter school for Wisconsin students who wish to learn online instead of in a traditionalschool environment.  Students in grades K-12 throughout the state can apply to enroll in iForward during Wisconsin’s open enrollment period, which runs until April 30.  For enrollment or other inquiries, please visit www.iforwardwisconsin.com.
Grantsburg Elementary Recognized for RtI Program
The Wisconsin RtI Center recently recognized Grantsburg Elementary in mathematics, reading, and behavior at the silver level for our work toward fully implementing a school-wide system that, according to national research, leads to improved student outcomes.

By establishing our equitable, multi-level system of supports, we increase consistency of effective instruction, build staff knowledge and skills to equitably support all learners, use data to proactively identify and provide support for students, and create a positive culture that nurtures relationships with students and their families, and communities. This strong foundation helps learners gain the skills needed to graduate ready for college or a career!
Top Student Achievement - We Have the Best Schools
Grantsburg School District is one of 373 districts across the United States and Canada that has earned the distinction of inclusion on the AP Honor Roll (9th Annual).  This is a district award shared by both high schools. Congratulations to our AP students, teachers, and parents.  This award only comes through the focused hard work of many!

Congratulations again this year to the Grantsburg School District for earning “Exceeds Expectations” on the State Report Card! Grantsburg High School and Grantsburg Middle School also earned “Exceeds Expectations” on State Report Cards. The Wisconsin State Report Card uses three years of past State assessment data and assigns importance to achievement growth over time, closing the achievement gaps between student subgroups, and data that indicates if students are on track to graduate with the appropriate skills.
GHS Among Best in U.S. Again in 2022
Grantsburg High School continues to receive numerous awards for student achievement. In 2022, U.S. News and World Report analyzed academic and enrollment data for more than 18,000 public high schools in the nation and awarded GHS the America’s Best High School - National Award. Previously GHS earned recognition from the U.S. News and World Reports in 2008, 2009, 2013, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021.

The Advanced Placement Pacesetter award has been earned by GHS six times in the past nine years. Pacesetter schools have provided impressive student access to AP courses and posted excellent AP exam results.

In 2020, GHS was also recognized by Newsweek Magazine as being a top STEM high school. This distinction was earned by having strong programs across the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics curriculum.

In 2013, GHS was also selected as one of Newsweek’s “America’s Best High Schools”. This Newsweek ranking highlighted the best 2,000 public high schools in the nation - those that have proven to be the most effective in preparing college-ready graduates. These distinctions place GHS as one of the top public high schools in the nation and in the state of Wisconsin.
