Grantsburg High School continues to receive numerous awards for student achievement. In 2021 U.S. News and World Report analyzed academic and enrollment data for more than 18,000 public high schools in the nation and awarded
GHS the America’s Best High School - National Award. Previously
GHS earned recognition from the U.S. News and World Reports in 2008, 2009, 2013, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020. For the fourth year in a row and the sixth time in eight years,
GHS received the Advanced Placement Pacesetter award. Pacesetter schools have provided impressive student access to AP courses and posted excellent AP exam results.
In 2020,
GHS was also recognized by Newsweek Magazine as being a top STEM high school. This distinction was earned by having strong programs across the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics curriculum.
In 2013,
GHS was also selected as one of Newsweek’s “America’s Best High Schools”. This Newsweek ranking highlighted the best 2,000 public high schools in the nation - those that have proven to be the most effective in preparing college-ready graduates. These distinctions place
GHS as one of the top public high schools in the nation and in the state of Wisconsin.
