Mr. Lehne’s Government & Economics class visited the Burnett County Government Center last month! ⚖️
They spent the morning in the courtroom, observing court proceedings. They also were able to speak with the judge, prosecutor, defense attorneys, public defender, court reporter, and a police officer about the justice system in Wisconsin. It was an excellent in-person look at how the court works on a daily basis!

The Grantsburg Middle School Hope Squad organized a school-wide food drive for the Grantsburg Area Food Shelf!
Students and staff donated over 500 pounds of food items on December 17. Thank you to everyone who contributed to this effort! 🙏

Our high school students had a blast and learned a lot at the Minneapolis Institute of Art and Midtown Global Market! 🎨
A few student art favorites included expressive Impressionist painting “Grainstack, Sun in the Mist” by Claude Monet, “Veiled Lady” by Italian sculptor Raffaelo Monti, and an elaborate 17th century Japanese suit of armor.
A special thank you to the adult chaperones who joined the trip. What a fantastic experience for our students!

Kindergarten raised donations for the Humane Society. We raised over $250 and had bags of items donated as well. We had a visit this afternoon from 3 ladies, 2 kittens, and a dog. ❤️😊

After reading the graphic novel version of “Frankenstein,” the students reached the big moment when Victor Frankenstein weds his beloved Elizabeth. To celebrate, they held a wedding ceremony complete with vows, ring exchanges (ring pops for all!), refreshments, a bouquet toss, and even dancing—because what’s a wedding without the Chicken Dance? 🎶
It was such a fun and creative way to connect with the story and make the characters feel real!
