GHS students studied burning pine cones to learn about local fire ecology and how fires open cones to release seeds while the ash provides an ideal fertilizer for new trees to grow.

Pirate Apparel and Design students recently completed a Pirate Santa Hat Project!
Hats were designed and manufactured in the Family and Consumer Sciences Design Lab and sold by students in hopes of spreading school spirit and holiday cheer.
The hats were so popular, they sold out in one day!

Students in Human Anatomy and Physiology participated in hands-on learning as they dissected cow hearts donated from Daffler's Quality Meats.

Design Lab has become an popular class at GHS filled with talented student. Ms. Taylor accompanied students, Kelsey Handy and Sidney Gronski, as the presented jackets, (created in the Design Lab) to school board members. Kelsey and Sidney provided a presentation to the school board and answered questions about the Design Lab.




The official flag raising was held at GHS this morning. Members of the Grantsburg American Legion raised the flag while Mr. Watt, Mr. Haase and class presidents - Curtis Fenton (9), Piper Olson (10), Tori Fickbohm (11), and Greta White (12) observe the occasion. .

AP Psychology students tested their olfactory sense by trying to identify different smells inside of a coffee cup!

While learning about the process of our vision, AP Psychology students tested the afterimage effect by flooding their vision with one solid color. 🏴☠️#GoGrantsburgPirates


@Wisconsin School Music Association State Honors Music Project Participants Erin Downing and Greta White performed at the Overture Center for the Arts and the annual Conference of the Wisconsin Music Educators Association on October 26!
These performances were the culmination of months of work preparing for the initial auditions, participating in summer workshops, and hours of practice outside of school activities. Congratulations to Erin and Greta! 🏴☠️#GoGrantsburgPirates
