Thank you to the representatives from 40 local organizations, businesses, and post-secondary schools who gifted their time and resources to our students during the 2024 GHS Career Expo on Wedensday, May 1. Students had the opportunity to explore diverse career paths, branches of the military, and local education prospects in the Grantsburg area by visiting resource tables. As students visited each station, representatives stamped their ‘passport’ booklet in exchange for thoughtful questions or comments about opportunities within their organization. GSD wants to thank @Burnett Medical Center for offering our student-athletes free physical exams again this year! By assessing students’ physical condition, doctors can recommend specific exercises, stretches, or precautions tailored to their needs, which can help prevent sports-related injuries. The most important qualification is the desire to make a difference. After a single semester of tutoring, the average kindergarten student in Reading Corps performs twice as well as their peers! The Culinary Arts 2 class is currently studying European culture and cuisine. As part of their study, they look at food history and how cuisines have changed over time. The class prepared traditional Yule Log desserts by preparing an airy sponge cake, buttercream filling, and a ganache icing! 🍽️ 🏴‍☠#GoGrantsburgPirates

FT and PT opportunities are available beginning in January. Tutors earn a paycheck every 2 weeks plus up to $5,100 for tuition or student loans.
