Topics in Science students at GHS created sun prints, which are created by making a photo (light) sensitive solution! ☀️ They brought in and/or created objects to place over the paper, and then exposed their print to UV light. Doing so created images based on what portions were exposed to UV light!

GHS students in Physical Science used a melting point apparatus to determine the identity of unknown substances. They practiced how to load capillary tubes and became familiar with the sensors that help them collect data! 🔬

The Grantsburg High School yearbook crew was hard at work during homecoming! They captured over 10,000 photos to preserve the moments throughout the week. The jam-packed week included dress-up days and activities like food relay, obstacle course, and tug-of-war. Of course, there was also the coronation, pep rally, and game! Congratulations to Coach Doornink, who was recognized by Brooks Running and RunnerSpace as Midwest Coach of the Year! Part of the “Brooks Running Inspiring Coaches” program, this honor rewards high school track and cross country coaches who are inspiring the next generation of runners. Mr. Johnson's GHS Physics class recently completed vector walks! Students were given vectors and had to walk in the direction of each vector to find their final location. Then, they used a vector to describe their ending position.
