The Grantsburg Middle School Hope Squad organized a school-wide food drive for the Grantsburg Area Food Shelf!
Students and staff donated over 500 pounds of food items on December 17. Thank you to everyone who contributed to this effort! 🙏

Mrs. Hanson’s 8th grade ELA classes know how to bring literature to life! 📚
After reading the graphic novel version of “Frankenstein,” the students reached the big moment when Victor Frankenstein weds his beloved Elizabeth. To celebrate, they held a wedding ceremony complete with vows, ring exchanges (ring pops for all!), refreshments, a bouquet toss, and even dancing—because what’s a wedding without the Chicken Dance? 🎶
It was such a fun and creative way to connect with the story and make the characters feel real!

Grantsburg Middle School celebrated World Kindness Day on November 13 with a warm morning welcome and positive messages throughout the day! 🧡
The GMS Hope Squad is also hosting a food drive to share kindness with the Grantsburg Area Food Shelf. Donations may be dropped off in the middle school commons through this Friday!

Local veterans from the American Legion spoke with 8th graders during a recent social studies class at GMS!
The veterans talked about what it means to them to be a veteran, and brought in military items for the students to check out. This annual event is a highlight for both the veterans and our students each year!

Thank you to all who came to today’s send-off for our Pirate football team, Pep Band and Dance Team as they prepare for the State Tournament tomorrow, November 21, in Madison!
We also invite the community to our reception on Thursday night or Friday (TBD after the game) to further celebrate the team's achievements. We will share details on our social media and website as soon as we have it.

The GHS Pirates are playing for the state championship on Thursday (tomorrow)! Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00pm at Camp Randall Stadium. 🏈
