Grantsburgh Community Education’s yoga classes begin soon! ✨

Open to all ages, these gentle Hatha/Vinyasa-style yoga classes focus on mobility, strength, balance, and centering the mind.

Sessions will be held in the GES Gym beginning at 7:00pm on Wednesdays. Dates vary per session. The cost of each session is $35 or a $10 drop-in rate.

WERQ Dance Fitness classes begin January 26! 🪩

Come experience this wild and addictive cardio dance workout set to pop and hip-hop music. Expect to sweat, have fun, and burn 400-600 calories per hour. 😀

Do you enjoy playing pickleball? Grantsburg Community Education’s pickleball sessions start in January and are open to everyone 18 and older! 🙌

Wednesdays sessions will be held from 4:00pm to 6:00pm from January 7 to April 29, 2026. Saturday sessions will be held from 9:00am to 11:00am from January 10 to April 25, 2026. All sessions will be located in the GES cafeteria gym. Registration is required.

Winter break starts at the end of the day today! ☃️

There will be no school for students December 22 through January 2. We’ll see our students again on Monday, January 5, 2026!

7th graders took a field trip to Park Square Theatre in St. Paul to see the musical “Goosebumps: Phantom of the Auditorium.” 🎭

This experience was excellent preparation for reading a play in their language arts class! 📖

Thank you to the Knights of Columbus for their donation of $540.38 from their Tootsie Roll fundraiser to support students in Special Education programming here at the Grantsburg School District. We are grateful to all who participated and supported this wonderful fundraiser! Our students and staff appreciate your generosity!

Grantsburg Middle School fifth graders wrapped up their annual Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse (AODA) lessons with a special visit from the Burnett County Sheriff’s Department. 🚓

Students got to meet Deputy Bailey Mangen, Deputy Brady Mangen, and Deputy Mike Isenhower, learn how they help keep our community safe, and watch K9 Croix show off his amazing skills! 🐕‍🦺

GMS Hope Squad, Student Council, and YOBC Prevention Coalition leaders welcomed students and families for an evening of learning and fun at GMS Family Engagement Night! 💜

Mrs. Cammeyer shared an online safety presentation, Rachel McNally from YOBC provided cyber safety resources, and Jessica Demontigny from Burnett County Public Health shared additional support for families. The GMS Hope Squad offered tips for staying safe online, while Student Council hosted a trail mix station and minute-to-win-it games.

Fourth graders had fun practicing their math and science skills before Thanksgiving break! They used fractions to prepare homemade butter, whipped cream, and pancakes, then applied their science knowledge to identify the different types of energy used throughout the process. 🥞

It was a delicious, hands-on lesson! 🍽️
