About the Teacher
 My name is Ashley Briggs. I live here in Grantsburg with my husband (Craig) and two children (Lyman and Hannah). We also have a dog named Adam. My husband and I are both Grantsburg High School graduates. I moved to Grantsburg with my parents and siblings when I was in the sixth grade. Before I lived in Grantsburg I moved around a bit with my family. We lived in Ashland (the town I was born in), Spooner, Townsend, and Rhinelander. After high school I moved to Eau Claire to attend the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire where I earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Language Arts. I student taught 7th grade English at Chippewa Falls Middle School, and 4th grade at Pedersen Elementary School in Altoona. After college I moved back to Grantsburg and got a teaching job in Siren. I taught 2nd grade in Siren for three years, and then accepted a job in Grantsburg teaching 2nd grade in 2012. After ten years teaching 2nd grade in Grantsburg, I am now teaching first grade! I am excited about the change and look forward to watching all my students learn and grow! In my free time I enjoy visiting with family and friends, reading, shopping, baking, digital scrapbooking, spending time outdoors, and going to concerts, plays and sporting events. |
