Welcome to kindergarten! My name is Julie Lee, I graduated from GHS in 1988 and then went on to earn my B.S. degree from Northwestern College in Roseville MN in 1992, and my Master's Degree from River Falls in 2013 as a Reading Specialist. I have taught, kindergarten, first grade, and second here at Grantsburg. I also taught for 5 years in Braham MN in kindergarten, first grade, and ESL. In my classroom I strive to create a warm, compassionate, accepting atmosphere for all, in a no worry zone for students and parents too! I believe in teaching to each child's individual needs and firmly believe that literacy is the foundation for all learning that will take place in my classroom. If you can read, you can do anything! I am committed to providing whatever it takes to meet a student's needs. I have lots of passion; passion for children, passion for learning and passion for teaching. I believe in a learning environment that encourages respect, kindness, tolerance and gentleness. This produces a community of learners where virtually all children are engaged in productive academic work that has been created for each child's individual needs.
