I earned a Bachelors of Science education degree at UW-Eau Claire in 1987 with a minor in Science. I taught three years in Eau Claire before moving to Grantsburg in 1990 when I was hired to teach fifth & sixth grade science. I have been teaching seventh & eighth grade Science since 2007.
My husband, Mike, is co-owner of E & M Machine which opened in Grantsburg in 2004. We have five children-Michael-31, Tyler-29, Brent-27, Connor-25, and Whitney-12 as well as a yellow lab, Jewel and cat, Green Eyes (Whitney's pet).
The best thing about teaching science is doing lab work! I enjoy watching the students work together in hands-on lab activities. We are fortunate to have many lab materials and one-to-one technologies like our chrome books.
I am looking forward to another great year in 7th & 8th grade!
